About Dr. Katharine Fitzpatrick, ND
I have an enduring belief in the healing power of authentic connection. I view authentic connection as integral to a sense of belonging in the world and this orientation forms the basis of all of my patient relationships. While I do offer medication management, I believe that it is this relationship, this exchange, that is the true medicine. With this foundation, a sense of safety can take root. It is this sense of safety that allows one to begin to engage more deeply in the fruits of life: love, creativity, and play.
My clinical interventions draw upon various trainings in psychotherapy, insight meditation and mindfulness, hypnotherapy, and naturopathic approaches to optimizing mental health. I live in the Seattle area with my husband, a clinical psychologist in private practice, and our two children.
I completed my undergraduate work at New York University and I hold a doctoral degree in Naturopathic medicine from Bastyr University. While my foundations in health care originate in naturopathic medicine, a field that seeks to address the roots of health with individualized medicine, I have come to specialize in mental health wellness.
